Busker to mark Apollo’s 29th birthday

A popular local busking musician is helping The Apollo Rooms celebrate 29 years in Harleston when he arrives at the venue for tomorrow’s open evening, to play a free live concert.

Felix Simpson, who has become somewhat of a local celebrity best known for his street performances where he entertains the people of Diss, will be playing in the public bar starting at 7.30pm.

Trevor Bailey, manager at The Apollo Rooms, said: “It’s great that Felix will be joining us. There is something for everyone here and we want to welcome the community to enjoy a night with us.

Belinda Farmer, events co-ordinator at The Apollo Rooms, added: “We’re so pleased to be celebrating 29 years in Harleston and want to show those in the local area what we have to offer, from parties and weddings to family gatherings and business meetings, we cater for it all.”
