A weekly course aimed at bringing out people’s inner creative writer will begin in Diss next week.

The Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) creative writing course kicks off on Tuesday, from 1pm until 3pm, at The Backspace on Fair Green.

The sessions are designed with the intention of helping participants to develop their practical experience in producing fiction, evolve their imaginative and critical faculties towards their own writing and the work of others, and tightening up their skills in short stories, radio scripts and poetry writing.

Professional writer and experienced WEA tutor Bel Greenwood, who graduated from the University of East Anglia with a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, is teaching the courses, which will run at the same time every Tuesday for the next few weeks.

The courses are also currently taking place at the Bank Arts Centre in Eye, running every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
