Music and beers are the order of the day when the annual Mellis Beer Festival hits the Railway Tavern tomorrow, with a diverse billing of acts lined up to perform throughout the day.
A beer tent will be pitched from 2pm to 11pm, featuring a selection of 12 different real ales and craft lagers for attendees to enjoy during the live performances.
Among the acts for this year’s festival is father-and-son singer/songwriter duo Gwyn and Owain Thomas, who will be playing a set alongside fellow musician Dave Notman just hours after appearing at the Porkstock food festival in Norwich.
Other performers will include rock groups such as Kickin’ Up Dust, Renegade 12, Bad Monkey Driver, The Muppits and Crosswind, acoustic soloists like Ralph Taylor and Damian Harrold, country band Sam Coe and the Long Shadows, and finally Common People, an eclectic group based in Mellis.
For the younger crowd, entertainment will be provided in the form of activities like a sumo wrestling game and a bouncy castle.
