Northanger Abbey
Northanger Abbey

A professional theatre company renowned for its distinct comedic style will bring to life a witty adaptation of Jane Austen’s ‘Northanger Abbey’ at the Oaksmere in Brome on Sunday.

DOT Productions, now in its sixth year of touring, will use just six actors to provide a unique treatment for the literary classic, adapted for the stage by Bryan Johnson.

DOT co-producer Louisa-Marie Hunt said: “Jane Austen’s novels are so popular and timeless, as we’ve seen by the plethora of films and TV series that have been made of them, that having an Austen novel adapted for our 2015 tour was something we thought our audiences would enjoy.”

This open-air performance, beginning at 4pm, is the latest in Diss Corn Hall’s ongoing tour programme while the venue undergoes renovations.
