Town show no mercy
Diss Town Under-11s showed hosts Tasburgh no mercy, in our Match of the Week, as they hit 11 goals without reply in a rampant display.
The visitors struck five goals before half-time as a hat-trick from Matthew Munnings was added to with one apiece from Will Cunningham and Tyler Noller as Diss went into the interval in a commanding position.
It proved a quiet afternoon for the defence including Will Beale, Kuba Boryczka and goalkeeper Alex Dunseith as Diss scored a further six goals after the break, three more from Cunningham and further goals from Whymark, Munnings and Alfie Marsham.
There were also promising displays from Ashley Finch, Samuel Cox and Miles Holliday.
n There was less success for Diss Town Under-15s who suffered a heavy 6-2 defeat in their final game against Stowmarket Town.
It was Diss who opened the scoring through Jay Turvey, before Stowmarket seized control to race into a 4-1 lead early in the second half.
Dan Whyman pulled a second goal back but despite the best efforts of Tom Ruddy, Cameron Cole and Ollie Goodwin-Tallents, Stowmarket scored twice more to wrap up victory.
n One team who did seal all three points was Scole United Under-15s, who overcame Catton in a comfortable 4-0 success.
Scole opened the scoring through Charlie Hitch’s spot kick after Owen Page was brought down, before Kieran Manning bundled home Page’s cross to double the tally.
That pressure continued after the break with Ryan Scammell adding a third from another Page assist, Lewis Burrows completed the scoring with Page again involved.
n It proved an afternoon to forget on the road for Diss Hawks Under-13s who suffered a 7-0 mauling away at East Harling.
Despite the best efforts of Oliver Hunt, Drew Cotton, George Bingham, Jacob Wales, Eren Karakus, Nathan Channell, Samuel Brice, Liam Last and Daniel Stephenson, Harling led 3-0 at half-time before adding a further four goals after the interval.
