Harleston Town record third victory in a row

Harleston Town made it three Hadley & Ottaway Anglian Combination Premier Division wins in a row on Saturday as they recorded a 4-1 victory on the road at Blofield United.

Nicky Howell and Nathan Stone’s side actually fell behind against the Beavers with Jack Robinson breaking the deadlock.

However, Harleston responded in positive fashion and secured the points courtesy of goals from Scott Roberts, Lawrence Cheese, Marc Pearce and Lloyd Greening.

The result has left Harleston second in the Premier Division table, level on points with early leaders Mattishall.

They will aim to extned their winning run to four matches tomorrow when sixth-placed Norwich CEYMS will be their visitors (2.30pm).

* A hat-trick from Sam Page helped Long Stratton to put their first win of the season on the board as they beat hosting Bradenham Wanderers 4-2.

Page’s trio of goals were accompanied by a strike from Owen Woodhouse on a positive afternoon for Adam Burroughs’ charges.

Tomorrow Stratton will make the trip to newly-promoted UEA (2.30pm).

* Having won their first game of the season, it is now three defeats on the bounce for Scole United without scoring after they lost 4-0 at home to Caister.

During those three losses manager Lee Sturgeon has seen his team ship 12 goals without reply.

Second-from-bottom Scole will entertain Acle United tomorrow (2.30pm).

* After having last weekend off, currently winless Division One outfit East Harling will return to action tomorrow when they head to Stalham Town (2.30pm).
