Former Debenham LC manager Leon Moore joins the coaching staff at Thurlow Nunn League First North leaders Harleston Town
After recent upheaval, Harleston Town have turned to former Debenham LC manager Leon Moore to help bring some stability back to the club.
Earlier this month Thurlow Nunn League First Division North leaders Harleston were left without a manager after Adam Gusterson took the decision to take over at higher-league Dereham Town.
Chairman Adam Mullin and former boss Craig Trudgill took caretaker charge of Harleston's only match since Gusterson's departure – an 8-0 victory at Leiston Reserves.
However, the duo will now be joined in the dugout by Moore, who resigned from his role as Debenham boss following the 3-1 win over Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves on December 29.
Moore said: "When the opportunity to join Harleston arose, it was a fairly straightforward decision. I went and met the chairman, and instantly I took to him. His plans for the club are exciting and I believe it’s a club that has a big future.
"I’m looking forward to meeting the players and the remaining fixtures – hopefully I can help guide Harleston to silverware."
Meanwhile, chairman Mullin added: "Leon is an exceptional coach and a really good guy. He was part of the set up at title winners Stowmarket and more recently managed a good Debenham side."
Moore's first assignment will be tomorrow's home encounter against fifth-placed Norwich CBS (2pm).
