Saturday’s original tie between the sides at Badingham Road had ended in a 1-1 draw, with Max Willett on target for the hosting Castlemen.

Willett was again on target in the second encounter, but Whitton were already two goals to the good by that point and scored another to seal their progression through to the next round.

Tomorrow Framlingham will switch their focus back to getting off the mark in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division, having lost their first two encounters.

They host Haverhill Rovers (3pm), while on Tuesday they travel to Thetford Town (7.45pm).

* Walsham-le-Willows are also out of the FA Cup, going down 3-1 on the road at Walthamstow.

Ryan Clark scored for Trevor Newman’s team, who make the long trip to the Norfolk coast to take on Gorleston tomorrow (3pm).

That is followed on Tuesday by an all-Suffolk encounter away at title favourites Stowmarket Town (7.45pm).

* Leon Moore recently insisted Debenham LC’s first win of the season was not too far away and he was proven correct on Saturday as they recorded a 3-0 victory at Wisbech St Mary.

The Hornets had lost their first two games to newly-promoted Lakenheath and Harleston Town, but goals from Craig Jennings, Lamell Howell and Ross Henry secured the three points.

Debenham will now look to make it back-to-back triumphs when they play host to March Town United tomorrow (3pm).

March are yet to win in this campaign.
