Dame Sarah Storey set to ride in OVO Energy Women's Tour from Framlingham

Britain’s most decorated Paralympian, Dame Sarah Storey, is among a star-studded list of riders set to line up in Framlingham next week to begin the 2018 OVO Energy Women’s Tour.

The historic town is set to get a sprinkling of sporting stardust on Wednesday with Stage One of the Tour getting under way from a neutralised start on Market Hill at 10.15am. The race will start properly around 15 minutes later in The Street, Hacheston.

Crowds will be hoping to see Storey, who will ride for her own Storey Racing team, along with the likes of 2017 track world champion Katie Archibald (Wiggle HIGH5) and Dutch powerhouse Marianne Vos (Waowdeals Pro Cycling), widely held to be the best of her generation.

The provisional rider list also includes Giorgia Bronzini of Italy (Cyclane Pro Cycling) and British siblings Hannah and Alice Barnes, who will ride for Canyon//SRAM.

Stage One of this year’s Tour takes riders from Framlingham to Southwold on a 129.7 km (80.7 mile) distance that is expected to end on the North Parade at around 1.55pm.
