Mendham’s Peter Wright will be aiming to bounce back from his Unibet Masters disappointment by kicking off this year’s Premier League series in Leeds.

‘Snakebite’ saw his hopes of clinching Masters glory ended at the quarter-final stages, at the weekend, as he went down to a 10-8 defeat to Adrian Lewis after leading 7-6.

The 44-year-old, who is ranked number five in the world, was set to try to put the disappointment behind him in the campaign opener against Dave Chisnall, due to be played last night.
