Darts ace Peter Wright suffered elimination from the Betway Premier League following a dramatic judgment night in Manchester last week.

With Kim Huybrechts already dumped out following a draw with Stephen Bunting, Mendham-based Wright knew a draw with Adrian Lewis would be enough to secure his safety.

However, it was not to be as ‘Snakebite’ went down to a 7-4 defeat, while reigning champion Raymond van Barneveld held Gary Anderson to a 6-6 draw to ensure his own survival and condemn Wright to elimination.

There was further woe for the 44-year-old as he also missed out on German Darts Masters glory.

Having reached the semi-finals, Wright suffered a 6-1 defeat to eventual winner and rival Michael van Gerwen.
