Runners-up spots for Spectrum club

Bury Spectrum’s gymnasts finished second in two team events after competing well in a friendly competition at the newly-refurbished Colchester School of Gymnastics.

At level six, the two Spectrum teams finished a respectable third and sixth with Tilly Heath gaining a silver medal on the floor with Isla Joy receiving bronze while Maisy Freeman held on for silver on vault.

At level five, Clara Saiu-Bell, Phoebe Maddever, Ruby Cooper, Ashleigh Price and Aimee Meyers were fifth overall.

At level four, Courtney Davey, Kati Masson, Megan Eke, Olivia Starr and Kayleigh Gazmuri-Symmes took second overall with Gazmuri-Symmes taking individual third on vault.

Masson was given a special award for straight legs and pointed toes on bars.

Competing at level three, Niamh Gill-Ryan, Megan Vowles and Gwyndolyn Gallagher finished second overall.

Gill-Ryan took first on beam and third on vault, while Gallagher finished second on bars and beam.
