Diss Town's total of summer incomings rises to six with signings of Joe Keeley from Wroxham and James Sillet from East Harling
Diss Town squad's for the 2022/23 Thurlow Nunn League First Division North campaign has continued to take shape with the arrival of two players that helped their respective clubs achieve promotion last term.
It was back on June 4 that the Tangerines announced the arrivals of Jordan Attree and Ben Jones, while a few weeks later Aaron Attree and Kieran Brown both completed their moves to Brewers Green Lane.
And now the list of summer incomings has swelled to six, starting with the signing of Joe Keeley.
The defender has joined Diss from Wroxham, for whom he made 18 appearances – scoring two goals – last term as the Yachtsmen were promoted from the Premier Division up to Step 4 as runners-up to champions Gorleston.
A message on the club's Twitter feed read: "@DissTownFC are delighted to win the race and secure the signing of Joe Keeley from Wroxham.
"Joe won promotion with wroxham to Step 4 last season and is a massive coup for Diss. Thanks to Jordan Southgate helping get this transfer complete."
Also linking up with Matt Coote and Mark Sutcliffe's squad is centre-back James Sillet.
The defender featured regularly for East Harling last term and helped the Greens to secure promotion up to the Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination Premier Division for the first time in the club's history.
In total Sillet turned out on 30 occasions for Stacey Lawrence's men in 2021/22, scoring one goal.
"@DissTownFC are delighted to welcome @James_Sillet. Sillet is a proper centre half, strong in a tackle and commanding in the air. Excellent reader of the game. A huge signing and sure to be a success at BGL."
Both of the new signings could feature for Diss during Friday's friendly encounter away at lower-league Beccles Town (7pm).
