County Championships to remember for Diss Otters at UEA Sportspark in Norwich

Diss Otters have enjoyed one of their most successful County Championship galas in recent memory, over the last three weekends.

A squad of 37 swimmers represented the club at the UEA Sportspark in Norwich, where they combined to win a total of 17 medals.

Elliott Barkway picked up the Otters’ one gold medal after winning 12-year-old boys’ butterfly, while club-mate Finley Neve excelled with a total of six medals.

Rosie Munnings, meanwhile, received her Norfolk county colours for representing the county in galas on three separate occasions, as well as winning two silvers and one bronze.

The Otters’ Matthew Tatum (1S,1B), Harry Daly (1B), Noah Blair (1S,1B) and Lucas Blair (1B) also came away from the meetings with medals.

The next action the Otters will see is an exciting opportunity, with a squad of around 20 heading to the London 2012 Olympics Aquatic Centre in Stratford for a two-day gala at the start of March.
