Norwich City column: Changes needed on and off the pitch at Carrow Road after defeat at Derby County dropped Canaries in Championship relegation zone

Have we reached the point where we can officially call Norwich City a club in crisis?

Despite increasingly strong opposition, those in charge continue to push ahead with the ill-fated plans to move thousands of season ticket holders just to increase the number of corporate seats.

The recent consultation meeting was nothing short of a farce, with Zoe Webber and Anthony Richens demonstrating just how inept and out of touch they are with the fans.

This money over morals ethos will only end one way, and I just hope someone at the club is smart enough to realise that before too much damage is done.

On the pitch, things are just as grim. Tuesday night’s 1-0 reversal at Derby represented a fourth defeat in a row, and seven games without a win.

Perhaps more significantly, it drops Liam Manning’s side into the bottom three with almost a quarter of the season gone.

How is it that everyone can see we are sleepwalking towards relegation, except for Ben Knapper and our American owners, who all remain nowhere to be seen.

The silence is deafening, and the lack of accountability being taken deeply disturbing.

Ultimately, it feels as if the time has come for Norwich City fans to stand up and demand change – change that can hopefully steer us away from an unmitigated disaster.

There are talks of some form of protest prior to the upcoming home game against Hull and sadly it feels as if we have reached that stage.

It is evidently clear that to have any chance of moving forward – both on and off the pitch – Manning, Knapper and Webber all need to be relieved of their duties.

Together, they are leading us down a dark path that jeopardises the future of the club that we all love so deeply.

So, I make a plea to the Attanasio family – step up to the plate. Show the leadership and conviction we desperately need, and that our loyal fanbase deserves.
