Diss-based independent family opticians Dipple and Conway have given local cricket teams preparing for opening day fixtures a boost by pledging a second year of sponsorship to the Norfolk Alliance Leagues.
With the campaign beginning on May 2 with Diss, Garboldisham and Topcroft sides all in action across various divisions, the company have again pledged to support the league having stepped in to back the Alliance last season.
“We had been without a sponsor for the previous two years, so it was a massive morale boost to have a long-standing family business with strong community roots come on board,” said Peter Thomas, chairman of Norfolk Cricket Alliance.
“And it is a huge shot in the arm that the Conway brothers, James, Damian and Robert, have agreed to support us for another year.
“Running an organisation like ours, with 68 adult teams and 108 youth teams, is very costly, so Dipple & Conway’s help is very welcome indeed.”
“It is not just the financial side, though. Dipple and Conway added a fresh dimension, raising the profile of the Alliance and helping our teams and players get more of the recognition they deserve.”
