Framlingham College Under-16 Boys were crowned county champions after beating Ipswich 6-4 in a thrilling final.
Following a conservative start, the boys began to get into their stride and produced some excellent counter attacking hockey through David Jimoh-Ibrahim, Jolyon Summers and Alex Emsden.
Ben Slaven and Archie Winter caused problems, with two goals from Slaven and a stunning first time strike from Winter gifting Framlingham a 3-1 lead.
Ipswich won a late penalty corner, which was calmly flicked home to make the score 3-2 at half-time.
The second half was frantic and fast paced, with three further goals from Winter, Slaven and a stunning diving deflection from Jimoh-Ibrahim putting Framlingham in control with a 6-2 advantage with five minutes remaining.
However, they were given a late scare as Ipswich hit back with two late goals, but Framlingham held out to secure victory.
There were also promising displays from Tom Addison, George Hunt and William Donsworth.
The team go on to represent Suffolk in the Regionals, on Tuesday.
