A host of Framlingham Flyers produced impressive performances at the recent Tarply 10 and 20 mile races.
Darren Sheppard, one of 11 club members to compete, finished 15th out of 383 entrants and was the third male over the age of 45 in the 10 mile event.
The team in this race was led home by third-placed Jim Last in a club record time of 57 minutes and 19 seconds — a time that confirmed as the first male to finish over 40.
Last was followed by Adam Howlett and junior Luke Wood, with the trio combining the clinch the men’s team prize.
Other Flyers in the race were Paul McKee, Joanne Cartwright and Pam Morgan, the latter of whom only started her running career at the Flyers beginners course in May of 2016.
There were also four Flyers in the 20 mile, who were led home by Mandi Moyse in two hours 50 minutes, followed by Marion Walker, Jamie Payne and Emma Goodman.
n Framlingham Flyers are welcoming entrants for their Friday 5 event on June 16.
As well as the senior race, there will also be junior off-road run.
