Manning and Page help Scole get back to winning ways
Goals from Kieran Manning and Owen Page helped Scole United Under-15s see off Wymondham 2-1 in our match of the week,
Scole looked the stronger team from the start and took the lead when Lawrence Brown pulled the ball back from the byline for Manning to slam home.
Ryan Scammell set-up Page after the break for Scole’s second before Wymondham pulled one back at the end.
It was the perfect response for United who had lost 2-0 to Dereham the previous week, despite having the majority of the chances.
Brown had a shot saved from the goalkeeper, while Daniel Heffer’s strike came agonisingly back off the post.
Dereham took the lead from a long-range effort before a penalty denied Scole any points.
Diss Town Under-14s were narrowly beaten 2-1 by league winners Bulldogs, with Charlie Bowen getting a late consolation goal.
The Tangerines battled hard and came close to scoring through Nathan Faulkner, but it was the visitors who broke the deadlock from a corner just before half-time.
Bulldogs doubled their lead after the break, before Archie Hewitt’s through ball was latched onto by Bowen to halve their arrears.
Scole United Under-11s also lost by the odd goal, with a powerful 15th-minute strike giving Old Catton a 1-0 win.
Goalkeeper Will Bloye had made some valuable interceptions before Catton’s breakthrough, while at the other end Ewan Johnson and Brad Potter both came close to an equaliser before half-time.
