Diss Town manager Mark Reeve has signed young duo Connor Doddington and Reece Edwards-King on loan from Lowestoft Town, ahead of their trip to Felixstowe and Walton United tomorrow (3pm).

With the Tangerines still languishing at the bottom of the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division table, Reeve has bolstered his squad with two bright prospects from Crown Meadow.

“Ady Gallagher (Lowestoft’s joint-manager) is keen to form a link with a Thurlow Nunn club,” explained the Diss boss.

“(Connor and Reece) are both contracted players at Lowestoft and will add a bit of quality.

“They know what position we are in and are both up for the fight. They’ll bring passion to the team.”

Reeve’s wait for a first league win in charge of the Tangerines continued at the weekend, after a 4-1 home defeat to league leaders Norwich United.

“It was exactly what it says on the tin,” admitted Reeve. “We’ve had two tough games on the bounce now, with that and the one at Kirkley and Pakefield (4-0 defeat).

“Felixstowe are a good team on their day, but we need to start picking up points so must go there looking to get something.”

The Tangerines have already used 39 players this season, and Reeve believes that he is getting closer to a settled squad.

“The club is moving forward, but it will be a couple of weeks until we get a settled squad,” said the Diss boss.
