Debenham LC fell further away from the title challenge in the Thurlow Nunn First Division following a 3-0 defeat away at Haverhill Borough.

The result leaves the Hornets in sixth position, 13 points adrift of table-toppers Saffron Walden Town.

Elsewhere, Diss Rugby Club remain a point clear at the top of London Two North East despite not playing their match with Braintree.

The match was awarded as a walk-over to the Mackenders-based club to leave them narrowly ahead of rivals Chelmsford, who beat Old Cooperians 55-0, in the table.

Lewis Grabban opened the scoring with a 65th minute penalty before Cameron Jerome doubled the tally just five minutes later.

Grabban added a third with 10 minutes remaining to wrap up victory.
