Diss Town sign former Cambridge City, Bury Town and Needham Market striker Ryan Gibbs
Diss Town manager Michael King has made his 10th addition of the summer – and it is somewhat of a coup.
The Tangerines have managed to secure the services of Ryan Gibbs, a striker with a wealth of higher-league experience.
Gibbs, whose younger brother Liam recently left Ipswich Town and is expected to sign for Norwich City, arrives at Brewers Green Lane having previously played for the likes of Cambridge City and Bury Town at Step 4, as well as Needham Market at Step 3.
He has also turned out for a handful of Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division clubs, including Haverhill Rovers, Ely City and Walsham-le-Willows.
However, ahead of next weekend's First Division North opener at Parson Drove, Gibbs has agreed to link up with King's men.
The Diss boss said: "I am delighted to get Ryan at the football club. As soon as I heard he may be available I was straight on the phone.
"In training and in the friendlies he's looked every inch the player we expected. He's a good lad, fitted in with the rest of the squad very well and obviously his pedigree speaks for itself with the level he's played at and his goalscoring record."
Diss play their final pre-season friendly on Saturday at Premier Division outfit Kirkley & Pakefield (3pm).
