Harleston Town add former Diss Town boss Jon Abbott to their management team

Harleston Town have confirmed the appointment of Jon Abbott to their management team.

Abbott, who linked up with Harleston as a player towards the back end of last season following his departure as Diss Town boss in February, will take up the role of joint-manager alongside Nicky Howell.

Nathan Stone, meanwhile, will switch his focus back to playing duties after spending a year in charge with Howell.

Howell said: “I’m thrilled to have Jon involved as joint-manager. I think that we’ll work well together and he brings vital experience at this level.”

Before taking over at Diss in January 2019, Abbott was manager of Harleston's Anglian Combination Premier Division rivals Scole United.
