Graham’s double joy
Ten members of the Diss and District Racing Pigeon Club sent 123 young birds to Billericay in Essex last Saturday with a positive day of returns.
Flying 63 miles, Graham Seaman from Dickleburgh was the race winner, with his victorious pigeon taking 90 minutes to get home from Essex with a velocity of 1,236 yards per minute.
Just seconds later, Seaman clocked his second bird to also pick up the runner-up prize.
New club member David Adams took third position, flying 61 miles, (vel 1,156) while Andrew Daniels was fourth, Banham’s George and James Burrows fifth and Gary Hunt (Tibenham) sixth.
