Garboldisham climb to the top after beating leaders

Garboldisham moved to the top of the Division One table after beating previous leaders North Runcton by six wickets on Saturday.
Runcton batted first and were all out for 196, as Gavin Barnes took four wickets on his return to first team action for Garboldisham.
Kieran Pask (69) and Kristian Williman (69) both hit half-centuries in reply for the visitors, which included a couple of big sixes from the in-form duo.
Garboldisham completed the run chase with six wickets to spare to climb above Runcton to the top of Division One.
The previous leaders had been sitting at the division’s summit all summer, with this being their first defeat of the campaign so far.
Ahead of visiting strugglers Mattishall tomorrow (1pm), Garboldisham are nine points clear at the top, however Runcton do still have a game in hand to be played towards the end of the season.
n In Division Four, Garboldisham A got back to winning ways with a 78-run win at home to Dersingham at the weekend.
Wicket-keeper Lewis Taylor hit a well-assembled 55 to help the hosts close on 215 all out, with Dersingham in reply struggling to get out of the blocks.
Garboldisham found wickets at regular intervals to bowl their opponents all out for 137, as Danny Philpott (4-32) took four wickets and Jack Peart and Paul Feavearyear struck twice each.
The win moves Garboldisham out of the Division Four relegation zone and into sixth place, ahead of hosting leaders Winterton tomorrow Saturday (1pm).
