Framlingham Town not thinking about Ipswich Town U18s' visit in the Suffolk Senior Cup ahead of Debenham LC league clash

Liam Abraham insists talk has not yet moved to their glamour tie with Ipswich Town Under-18s next week as they remain focused on their Thurlow Nunn League First Division North campaign.

Fram welcome the Sky Bet League One club’s youngsters to Badingham Road next Tuesday (7.45pm), with a place in the quarter-finals of the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup up for grabs.

But the Castlemen’s boss says the focus in the camp is solely on their home clash with Debenham LC, in the First Division North, tonight (7.45pm).

“We’ve got Debenham in the league on Friday night and that’s all we’re looking at right now,” Abraham said.

“No one has mentioned the Ipswich game. There really hasn’t been any talk about it from the players or the management.

“In the league we’ve not got the results that we’ve wanted to so far this year, so it was good to get three points at Sudbury on Saturday. They don’t drop many points at home.”

Goals from Anthony Johnson and Danny Smith helped Fram to a 2-1 win away at AFC Sudbury Reserves last Saturday, as Abraham’s side ended a four-match losing run in all competitions.

The win pushed the Castlemen up one place from 18th to 17th in the First Division North table, with a tough test awaiting an injury-hit squad against sixth-placed Debenham tonight.

Cyrus Thorpe, Jonathan Fryatt, Dan Smith, Jake Seaber and Simon Poacher are all out injured.
