Diss Town re-sign striker James Bemrose after Gorleston departure

James Bemrose has rejoined Diss Town – just a matter of weeks after he left the club.

The striker linked up with higher-league Gorleston ahead of the new campaign getting under way and he went on to make four appearances for the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side.

However, it was announced on Tuesday that Bemrose had opted to leave Emerald Park, with the young forward tweeting: "Thank you to everyone that’s part of the club who’s supported me, all the best."

And now it has been confirmed that he will return to Diss ahead of Saturday's home First Division North encounter against Needham Market Reserves (3pm).

Having scored more than 100 goals at different levels for Long Stratton, Bemrose first signed for the Tangerines in October of last year.

He marked his debut with a hat-trick in a 3-2 win at Great Yarmouth, and scored a total of eight goals in six league outings before Covid-19 resulted in a second season being abandoned.
