Former Peterborough United defender Adam Smith joins Harleston Town

Harleston Town have made their second big signing in as many days with the arrival of former professional Adam Smith.

Yesterday, the Anglian Combination Premier Division outfit revealed they had recruited experienced forward Ryan Crisp following his recent departure from Step 4 outfit Dereham Town.

And he has been joined at Wilderness Lane by Smith, who back in the mid-2000s made nine appearances for EFL League One side Peterborough United.

Smith also spent a number of years with Step 3 side Lowestoft Town, racking up more than 400 appearances for the Trawlerboys before announcing his retirement in the summer of 2019.

However, the former King's Lynn Town defender will now link up with Harleston ahead of Saturday's trip to Blofield United (2.30pm).
