Norwich City have appointed Alex Neil as their new manager, taking over from Neil Adams who resigned on Monday.

The 33-year-old joins from Hamilton, where he was a player-manager, and becomes the 2nd youngest manager in the Football League.

Neil has impressed north of the border, guiding Hamilton to third in the Scottish Premier League following promotion into the division last year.

The former Barnsley and Mansfield midfielder faces a tricky start to life as Canaries manager, with the club travelling to league-leaders Bournemouth tomorrow.
