Three first-time goal scorers struck to seal Diss Town’s progression in the Norfolk Senior Cup with victory over Great Yarmouth Town.

Second-half strikes from Matt Dixon, Ashley Skeggs and Volta Rocha were enough to clinch a 3-1 win and settle the fourth round encounter.

Meanwhile, Debenham LC’s inconsistent form in the Thurlow Nunn First Division continues as Dale Vince’s charges slumped to a disappointing 4-0 defeat at home to Brightlingsea and Regent.

In contrast, Diss RFC continued their impressive run of form, securing their third consecutive victory in London One North with a hard fought 12-5 success over visitors Luton.

Both Norwich City and Ipswich Town scored 1-1 draws on Saturday, but will be in entirely different moods.

Ipswich remained entrenched in the npower Championship relegation zone after drawing with Peterborough United, one of their rivals for the drop.

Norwich earned a point at high-flying Everton in the Barclays Premier League.
