Diss Athletics Club quartet impress at Keith Ward Memorial Indoor Meeting
A quartet of Diss Athletics Club athletes impressed at the annual Keith Ward Memorial Indoor Meeting in King’s Lynn on Sunday.
Riley Kemp, Chloe Warne, Lulu Hurley and Gordon Coe all made the trip to The Barn, at Lynnsport, this past weekend to compete in the annual competition, which also incorporates the Norfolk Indoor Championships.
Under-17s athlete Kemp came third in the high jump, posting a personal best jump of 1.65m.
Warne, another under-17s member at Diss, was competing in her first competition for the club, and marked the occasion with her own personal best, finishing the 60m sprint in a time of 9.2 seconds.
Hurley completed the trio of under-17s athletes from Diss, and claimed three personal bests on the day.
The teenager finished the 60m sprint in 9.1 seconds, the 60m hurdles in 12.6 seconds, and set a new best jump of 3.75m in the long jump.
Meanwhile, Coe, representing the club’s seniors, came second in the shot putt with a best throw of 9.87m. He also finished fourth in the 60m sprint.
