Diss Otters win 22 gold medals

Diss Otters were in impressive form at the recent Mini Meet, returning from Riverside Swimming Pool in Norwich with a haul of 61 medals.

Twenty-two of those were of the gold variety with six silvers and 13 bronzes also earned from the total number of 117 swims.

Daniel Brown (five) and Evie Kemp (four) won golds in all of their races, while there were also full quotas of various medals for Ciaran Strike, Thomas Hutchings, Alex Jackson, Lily Ellis, Phoebe Tovell, Dilly Kemp, Rainbow Allen and Evie Kemp.

The Great Yarmouth Swimming Club-organised event was the latest in a series of competitions designed to help younger, less experienced swimmers develop their racing skills and techniques.

Competitors took part in 25m or 50m races in breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and freestyle plus a 100m individual medley.
