Nick Greenhall will take charge of London 1 North side Diss Rugby Club next season

Ahead of tomorrow’s home encounter against Amersham & Chiltern (2pm), Diss Rugby Club have announced a new head coach for next season.

Current boss Dave Smith made it known last year that this would be his last term at the Mackenders helm.

And now the club have announced his replacement, with Nick Greenhall set to take up the reins.

The Level 4 RFU-qualified coach will bring plenty of experience with him to the club, having previously been in charge of the likes of North Walsham, Ipswich and Southend Saxons.

Greenhall will be joined by forwards coach Spencer Williams, who is an Eastern Counties coach.

It is looking increasingly likely that they will inherit a side that has been relegated from London 1 North.

Prior to Amersham’s visit at the weekend the Blues are rooted to the foot of the table and with just one win to their name, they are 20 points from safety with only eight fixtures remaining.
