Diss Town are mourning two influential characters who have both passed away in the last week.

Don Daniels was a former vice president at the Tangerines, as well as the club’s bank manager for many years.

A regular presence at Brewers Green Lane, Daniels will be best remembered by those at the club for his amusing after dinner speeches at the annual presentation evenings.

Eric Chambers passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 79.

He was involved in the committee of the club ever since moving from London to the area with his wife back in 2004.

Chambers was a familiar face to many at the turnstiles and helped raise funds for the club.

Due to ill health he stood down from the committee this year but still assisted with fundraising activities.
