West Indies youth international Mbeki Joseph joins Diss Cricket Club

Diss Cricket Club have announced the signing of Mbeki Joseph for the 2022 season.

Joseph will arrive at Rectory Meadow with international experience on his playing CV, having previously turned out for the West Indies at Under-19 level.

In his last outing for the Windies, the 21-year-old opened the batting and scored 44 off 66 deliveries in a three-wicket victory at the expense of Canada.

Diss captain Lewis Taylor said: "I am delighted to have secured the signing of Mbeki for the 2022 season.

"He is an exciting and powerful top order batsman who also has the ability to bat for significant lengths of time.

"Current players will get the opportunity to learn and play alongside someone that has experience at Under-19 level with the West Indies, hopefully elevating their own performances."
