Billy Crisp proved to be in unbeatable form as he cruised to a comfortable victory in a Diss Anglian Club veterans match at Thornham.

As the final weights were taken, Crisp found himself way out in front of his nearest rivals with a haul totalling 29lb 12oz to claim victory ahead of George Wilby with a 18lb 9oz total and John Mears with a 12lb 6oz total.

It proved a much tighter affair in the club’s match at Diss Mere where Karl Hales netted victory with a 12lb 15oz total narrowly ahead of Gordon Pearce with a 12lb 2oz haul and Andrew Mears with an 8lb 11oz total.

There was better news for Pearce in the pairs however as he scooped victory alongside Ben Wilby with a winning total haul of 18lb 12oz.
