Connor’s accolade on memorable trip

Framlingham College student Connor Hein-Jones enjoyed a memorable trip to the United States with the Independent Schools Under-18 national rugby squad after being named player of the tour.

The tourists played two games in San Francisco, losing 23-10 to NorCal All Stars, but beat Jesuit School, California champions for the last five years, 24-10.

They then took on New Zealand touring side Westlake High in Sacramento, losing the match 24-17 on the last play of the game.

Their final match was in Seattle where the Loggers USA President’s XV, who had not lost a game in four years, were beaten 69-13, with Hein-Jones being voted man of the match.

The 18-year-old, has also appeared for the Northampton Saints Academy, Eastern Counties and the Scottish Exiles.
