Old Buckenham captain Terry Perry has heaped praise on his teammates following their excellent start to the season.

Bucks have won all four of their games so far this season to occupy second place in the early Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division table.

And ahead of the visit of Brooke to Old Buckenham Hall tomorrow, Perry is aiming for another victory to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.

“We’re positive about the next few weeks,” the Buckenham skipper said.

“Confidence is high at the moment and it’s a nice changing room to be in.”

Bucks followed up their Bob Carter Cup win over Great Witchingham with a nine-wicket victory away at Cromer at the weekend.

“We’ve played Sprowston, Downham and Cromer who everyone expected to be three of the strongest teams.

“We’ve won all three games and quite convincingly to be honest.

“Everyone has played their part and long may that continue.

“The older guys have played a key role, our overseas player (Trent Crittenden) had a good knock in the first game, and our young lads are playing good cricket.”

n Diss (seventh) will look to carry the momentum from their impressive win at Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers when they host struggling Swardeston A tomorrow.

A century from Dave Tooke helped Diss chase down a target of 243 with 10 overs to spare on Saturday.
