COMMENT: Across The Border - Neil Adams resigns as Norwich City manager
Neil Adams has resigned as Norwich City manager following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Preston in the FA Cup.
Adams was given the job on a full-time basis in the summer having spent the final five games of last season in temporary charge following Chris Hughton’s departure.
Despite a strong start to the season, the Canaries find themselves seventh in the table, three points off the play-offs.
Diss Express Norwich City Columnist Edward Seaman said: “It is a shame things didn’t work out for Neil Adams at Norwich City after what looked like a promising start to the season.”
“There is no doubt that he is an excellent coach but at times this season I have questioned his ability to get the best out of his team and his tactical nous and ultimately that has cost him with results.”
“Credit has to go to him for walking away with his head held high and I hope the board now go and appoint an experienced manager to give the club the best chance of bouncing straight back up this season.”
