Harleston Town bring in club legend Gavin Durham as new assistant manager
Harleston Town have announced the appointment of Gavin Durham as the new assistant to manager Nicky Howell.
Durham is already well regarded at the club, having spent the majority of his playing days at Wilderness Lane.
The new appointment, who is the father of young Harleston midfielder Josh Durham, comes following Jon Abbott's decision to step down as joint manager last week.
Meanwhile, the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North leaders have also announced that Duane Smith will step up from the reserves to take on a first-team coaching role alongside Durham and Howell.
A new management team for the reserves is expected to be announced during the next few days, while the senior side's new dugout set-up will come together for the first time at Peterborough North End on Saturday (3pm).
