Champion Rob Aldridge wraps up his season in fourth
Diss Motor Cycle Club hosted the final round of the ACU Eastern Enduro Championship at Thetford Forest on Sunday, with more than 200 riders in action.
One of those was Diss’ own Rob Aldridge, who had already been crowned Clubman Class champion.
On this particular occasion he finished in fourth position, although he was the leading rider from the East Anglian region.
Meanwhile, in the Clubman Veteran Class, Diss’ Michael Wyatt secured himself a third-placed finish behind champion Steve Youngs from Lowestoft.
Another Diss rider – Gene Womack – finished in the top three of the Clubman Super Veteran Class, which was eventually wrapped up by Sudbury club member Graham Mays.
The Championship Class went the way of Luke Parker from Norwich, finishing ahead of Halstead’s Lewis Tombs and Ben Clark of Braintree.
The battle for the Expert Class title was between two members of the Sudbury club, with one point splitting James Barker and Jack Berry ahead of the last meeting.
Barker finished third on the day and with Berry only able to come home seventh, it was enough to wrap up the title.
Overall, Sudbury were the most prolific of the clubs at the event, winning a total of three class titles.
Diss collected one, as did their Stowmarket and
Norwich counterparts.
