Best ever finish for racer Watt

Framlingham College pupil Jon Watt achieved a best ever BMW Compact Cup championship placing after finishing ninth at Donnington Park.

The 18-year-old, in his second season of racing, narrowly missed out on eighth place, coming just eight-thousands of a second behind a British GT champion.

Having passed his Association of Racing Drivers School test to gain his competition licence aged just 15, Watt competes in a E36 318ti in a championship that has over 50 registered competitors driving at circuits including Silverstone and Brands Hatch with each round televised on Motors TV.
