Last week’s Express told how the club’s Janice Nottingham had won gold at the UK Championships, just a matter of months after undergoing cancer surgery.
And some of the junior members have been following Nottingham’s lead at the Norfolk County Championships.
Max Brookes – competing in the Under-17s – was crowned champion in the shot put, discus, hammer and javelin events, while he also collected a silver medal in the triple jump.
Meanwhile, his sister Luella Brookes won the Under-20s Women’s discus title alongside earning a silver in the hammer.
Connor Eadie – in the Under-15 Boys – is the new county champion in the shot-put and javelin events, while James Hurst, who was competing in the same age group, finished fourth in the javelin and seventh in the shot-put.
The club has also seen some club records broken and a massive amount of personal bests gained in the East Anglian League, with events having been taking place at Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.
