Framlingham author Kate Rolfe celebrates Neurodivergence and reading with fun event

Children flocked to an event hosted by an award-winning Framlingham author last weekend.

Fresh from releasing her second, Wiggling Words, which follows a child lost in a forest of letters, Kate Rolfe welcomed families to The Old Theatre on Saturday.

Hosted by town bookshop Ottie and the Bea, it saw visitors take part in a number of activities throughout the day, including a town letter hunt, interactive performances and games.

Around 700 primary school children had also created artwork ahead of the event, which was exhibited on the walls of the theatre.

Ms Rolfe, who was crowned best new talent in children's publishing in 2022, said: “It was an amazing day and it was really magical when children found their artwork on the walls.

“I am so grateful for everyone’s support. Fram is an amazing community that gets behind people and gets so involved – thank you.”
