Call for witnesses after woman sexually assaulted in Kenninghall

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Kenninghall.

Shortly before 11.30pm on Thursday, July 12, the victim - a woman in her 40s - was walking along Garboldisham Road.

A man has approached her from behind and then pulled the victim to the ground.

The suspect then got on top of her, but fled the scene when she resisted.

The suspect is described as being around 5ft 4 inches tall and was wearing jeans and a dark coloured hooded jacket.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information regarding this incident. They are asked to contact Det Con Matt Hendry at Thetford CID on 101.
