Woman hospitalised after A140 crash at Yaxley
A woman in her 30s was hospitalised last night after a crash on the A140 at Yaxley.
It happened at about 6.20pm and involved a car and a lorry.
A volunteer critical care paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service was first on scene followed by fire crews from Diss and Eye stations who worked to free a female patient from her vehicle.
She was then assessed by the SARS CCP for head and chest injuries before being taken by land ambulance to the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The lorry driver is not believed to have suffered any injuries.
