Harleston woman found dead at home after police attend a call regarding her safety

A woman has been found dead at her home in Harleston after police attended last night over concerns for the woman's safety.

Officers arrived at the address on Cranes Meadow at around 8.15pm and found that the woman, who was in her 70s, had died.

Police and forensics officers remained at the scene overnight and through today, but a police statement has said the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

Initial enquiries are being carried out by Norfolk Police and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.
