Which schools in the Diss Express area are remaining shut?

Schools across the country have gone against Government guidance and decided not to welcome pupils back today, with teachers, parents and unions citing concerns about the rise in Covid infections.

Some schools have opted to close completely, whilst others will still be open to vulnerable pupils and children of key workers.

Below is a list of schools in the Diss Express area that are still currently closed in some capacity.

Please note that if a school is not on this list, it does not necessarily mean that it is open.

  • Aslacton Primary School – Fully closed.
  • Attleborough Primary School – Fully closed until Wednesday Jan 6 due to issues with school's boiler.
  • Banham Primary School – Fully closed.
  • Diss CE Junior Academy – Open to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils. Closed to all other pupils.
  • Diss Infant Academy And Nursery – Open to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils. Closed to all other pupils.
  • East Harling Primary School & Nursery
  • Hempnall Primary School – Fully closed on Monday January 4. Set to announce more soon.
  • Kenninghall Primary School – Open to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils. Closed to all other pupils.
  • Preston CE VC Primary School – Open to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils as of Tuesday January 5. Closed to all other pupils.
  • Roydon Primary School – Open to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils. Closed to all other pupils.
  • Saxlingham Nethergate CE VC Primary School – Open to children of key workers and vulnerable pupils as of Tuesday January 5. Closed to all other pupils.
  • Scole CE VC Primary School – Fully closed.
