The Care Experience - An Evening of Music and Poetry, January 17
The Care Experience offers a unique insight into the experience of growing up in care, given by those who have experienced being in care.
Various musicians and poets will use music and words to reflect the experience at Diss Corn Hall, with Eric Sedge, Anna Ryder and Steve Banks all due to attend.
Sleeping Beauty, December 17-31
The much-loved pantomime Sleeping Beauty is set to make an appearance at Diss Corn Hall throughout the upcoming festive period.
The Corn Hall has teamed up with a new producer, SparkLive Pantomimes, which will transform the venue and bring oodles of festive merriment to the Diss stage during a two-hour performance.
Join Princess Aurora, Muddles, Dame Victoria Sponge, Fairy Lights, King Bumble and the evil Carabose for an action-packed show, full of dazzling costumes, glittering scenery, special effects and traditional pantomime slapstick.
Top Gun - Maverick, January 18
Thirty years on from the blockbuster success of Top Gun, the acclaimed sequel will be showing at The Corn Hall.
Top Gun - Maverick, which has been one of the year’s big box office success stories, focuses on fighter pilot ace Maverick (Tom Cruise) as he helps to train a talented group of recruits to carry out a highly dangerous mission behind enemy lines.
A nostalgic, high-speed sequel to the ‘80s classic movie, do not miss out on this January 18 showing.
Life Drawing, from January 9
Join experienced life drawing tutor Neil Cuthbert in January to explore anatomical, muscular and skeletal features in an introduction to life drawing.
The sociable group art session will examine the creative process behind drawing a life model.
The atmosphere will be relaxed and social, where both beginners and more experienced students are very welcome to attend to try their hand at drawing.
Paper and boards will be supplied on admittance, but participants are welcome to take their own easel and preferred pencils if preferred.
The sessions cost £15 per person, with a maximum number of 15 students.
