Broadland and South Norfolk Councils official releases rap video for voting residents
The top official and returning officer of Broadland and South Norfolk Councils has taken a unique approach to tell people to take ID with them when they vote in local council elections - with a rap.
Trevor Holden, going by T-Dawg for the video, may be the first council managing director ever to spit rhymes.
The less than a minute track sees Mr Holden singing about what you need when voting on May 4.
Anyone without a valid ID or a voter authority certificate will be turned away.
The changes, introduced through provisions in the Elections Bill, have meant Norfolk councils have had to organise extra staff at polling stations.
The government argues it will prevent fraud, but critics do not believe the scale of the problem justifies the measure.
